OH NO!!!

Today Kate is 8 months old and she has made her crawling debut. She is all over the place and loves her new freedom. We went to the Dr. today and got her shots. She weighed in at 19.1 lbs. (65 percentile) and is 29 inches long ( off the charts) She was a good girl at the Dr. she cried for a minute after her shots but then I fed her and she was fine, Oh my little comfort eater.

San Diego Zoo

Last week we went to the Zoo with My friend and her son and Donny's Aunts Heather and Devonna and their kids. I had a fun time, Kate wasn't all that interested, she was a good girl though. It would have been alot better if it wasn't blazing hot. Maybe the San Diego in the middle of August not the best idea. The Pandas were very cool but this Hippo was my favorite.

So, the other night baby Kate and I had a night of disagreements, I thought that she should be asleep and she disagreed. Needless to say, we didn't have the smoothest of mornings that next day, I decided to give her a bath to see if I could settle her down a little and after her bath I put her on her bed so I could pick out her outfit for the day and exactly 1.2 seconds after turning my back I heard a thump and then a scream. Yes, my baby fell off the bed. I know, I'm horrible. She cried for about two minutes and I cried for about ten more. To calm her down I took her downstairs and fed her honey and let her with steak knives. Ha Ha So if anyone wants to nominate me for mother of year, I am excepting votes.

Lucky me!!

These pictures were taken this morning, Donny is at his first day of "Duty" aka go to work all day and all night. Which only means that I have to sleep alone, my least favorite thing to do. I just though that I had to post these pictures cause Donny looked so cute in his "Diggies" I'm a lucky girl, aren't I? Who doesn't love a man in uniform? To bad he is not here to put me to bed. Good night!!!

D'Backs biggest little fan!!!! She loved the game, didn't love the cheering at first but then it grew on her. We had a blast!!!

So I just got done scouting the competition (meaning looking Sarah's and Brittney's blogs) and my blog is so lame. I need help! I need cutesy flowers and borders and fun stuff so If you feel like a service project I need your help to make my blog cute. Help!!

Napping is for Sissies

The last few days Kate has decided that she is way to good for napping. She falls asleep in the truck but she is bright eyed and ready for action as soon as she get into the house. She just doesn't have time for sleeping. She is getting around the house much easier these days, (not crawling yet, but is dang close) She thinks she is pretty hot stuff these days. Mom misses the nap time, I haven't got a shower before 11 O'clock at night for several days. We hopefully we get this figured out in the next few days. It's a good thing she is adorable.

Family Vacation

Since we have lived in Cali we have had a bunch of visitors here at Hotel Christiansen. We are not complaining, though we actually have loved it. My sister and here family came from Texas and my brother and is family along with my mom and Heidi came from AZ for a week. We had 7 kids under 10. We went to the beach alot and even got to go to Disneyland, Kate loved it. Kate has learned so much from having all these kids around. It was wonderful to have them all here and we were hoping to make it a yearly vacation. Donny really wants them to come back because he thinks baby Kate and I aren't as much fun as the older boys. Donny is not the same now that he doesn't have anyone to play home run derby with especially because he could beat the 10 year olds. Well we hope the visitors keep coming, I am getting great and changing sheets and I like having an excuse to clean my house.
